September Eucharistic Miracle: Mourne-Rouge, Caribbean Islands

Dear Knights and Dames,

We would like to introduce you the Miracle of Morne-Rouge, a village on the Caribbean Island of Martinique. On May 8, 1902, Ascension Day, a nearby sudden volcanic eruption caused the villagers to run to their parish and receive the sacraments of penance and the Eucharist in the face of impending doom. After Mass when the Host was exposed for Eucharistic Adoration they witnessed an apparition of Jesus and His Sacred Heart in the Host. The lava flow somehow went around them onto the next nearby village which was completely destroyed.

This is beautiful reminder that Jesus gives us his Sacred Heart and Divine Mercy weekly and daily during Mass. While eventually everyone in the village of Morne-Rouge experienced death as all of humankind will, they and we are blessed by the cleansing of our hearts and souls when we receive the Sacraments. Indeed, the Eucharist is always a continuous Miracle in itself that unites divinity and humanity at every Mass. When we are properly disposed, our real presence and Christ’s real presence can be conjoined. Praise be to God!

We invite you to read the attached information to learn more and be inspired by this extraordinary occurrence.
