Give Support

These extraordinary times call for urgent funding needs in Christian communities, schools and educational institutions. As the tourism and pilgrimage industry contracts under increasing conflict, our donations will provide desperately needed food, clothing and housing to Christian families, and repairs, upgrades, and resources to the schools of the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem.

Emergency Support for the Church in the Holy Land

As tensions continue to escalate in and around the Holy Land with no apparent end in sight, the economic plight of the Christian community continues to worsen, with those employed in tourism and hospitality most affected. Considering the incremental hostilities, pilgrimage and tourism continues to be canceled indefinitely. There will be no quick or easy return to normal in the Holy Land. With this in mind, we ask you to consider joining us in supporting these communities and schools.

Peace Crusade

The pandemic, followed by the war in Gaza, has caused significant economic hardship. In response, we are launching a special campaign called the “Peace & Mercy Crusade” to raise funds. This campaign aims to provide financial assistance to Christians affected by this crisis.

Educational challenges have arisen. Without work, families need scholarships to continue their children’s education. The Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem (LPJ) employs over 1,700 teachers, making it one of the biggest employers in the region. It is vital to keep these teachers on the payroll. The LPJ schools also need repairs and face threats of closure by local governments. The lack of funding for repairs and upgrades to the schools has led to a decline in enrollment as parents seek a better standard of education for their children. Though there has been a very limited number of upgrades to some classrooms, the condition of the schools has reached a point that, even with the return to the previous funding levels, it is impossible to bring the schools to the standards needed for quality education without your help.

Mercy Crusade

In response to this economic crisis, the Latin Patriarchate has redirected available funds to provide humanitarian aid for rent support, utility payments, food, and medical care to those most in need. The institutions were turned into shelters from the first day in Gaza. This has been a huge responsibility under fire 7/24 aerial and land shelling.

Funds received will directly aid families in parishes and schools in the Holy Land, ensuring that it will assist with their daily needs as much as possible.

Humanitarian News

As we approach the one-year mark of the October 7, 2023 tragedy, it has become clear that the Church always rises during conflicts and wars and ends up being first among and with the people, sharing their suffering and comforting them not only spiritually, but with material support.
